FREEPORT (WIFR) -- The Stephenson County State's Attorney's Office is waiting to file charges in the death of a Freeport woman.
Police say Victoria Strong, 48, was shot in the leg during a party on South Oak Street, this was back on September 23. She died at Rockford Memorial Hospital a week later, although the coroner is investigating the cause of her death. no charges have been filed.
