The Show Will Go On

ROCKFORD, IL (WIFR) – “The show will go on.” This was the message from the Greater Rockford Airport board when it came to Airfest. This was said after two resignations this week.

In the boards first meeting since its executive director and board chairman resigned; interim chairman Bharat Puri says he hopes to offer more family friendly displays at future Airfests.

He said he's working to make Airfest more of a regional event. As far as Embry Riddle University; Puri doesn't believe the recent resignations of Bob O'brien and Brian Boyer will impact our chances of landing the deal.

We also spoke with former airport board chairman Mike Dunn which spoke highly of Bob O'brien and their working relationship.
