ROCKFORD (WIFR) – The changing of the season means lower golf fees in the Rockford Park District. Beginning Saturday, October 1, 2011 golf green fees and motorized cart rental fees will be reduced at four Rockford Park District courses.

Elliot, Ingersoll, and Sandy Hollow green fees will be $11.00 per round for nine or 18 holes; motorized cart fees will be $10.00 per rider for 18 holes, and $5.00 per rider for nine holes. Ingersoll and Sandy Hollow normally close for the season at the end of October, depending on weather conditions. Elliot Golf Course will be open all year, as weather permits.

At Sinnissippi, a nine-hole course, green fees will be $8.00 per round, and motorized carts $5.00 per rider. Sinnissippi typically closes for the season at the end of October, depending on weather conditions.

At Aldeen Golf Club, effective October 1, 2011, green fees will be $18.00 ($20.00 non-resident), and motorized carts will be $18.00, or $9.00 for back nine only. Aldeen normally remains open through November, weather permitting.
