ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Before we roast that turkey on Thursday there was time to roast a politician Friday night.
Winnebago County Board Chairman Scott Christiansen played the role of "good sport" at tonight's holiday roast for epilepsy. Christiansen had to survive a barrage of barbs.-- all for a good cause. With proceeds going to the epilepsy foundation. And as you can hear.. the roasters were not holding back.
Sen. Dave Syverson says, "We need to build roads and he says, get er' done. We talk about we need to get a new jail and he says 'get er done'. People come to him and say Scott, we need to do something about the crime in Rockford. He says, give it to the city."
Other roasters included Winnebago County States Attorney Joe Bruscato, Rockford Mayor Larry Morrsissey and United Way President Paul Logli.
