ROCKFORD (RWE) -- The Rockford Wind Ensemble will open their 2011-2012 season with MUSIC FROM THE HEARTLAND, on Sunday, October 30th at 3:00 p.m., at Rockford First Auditorium, 5950 Spring Creek Road, Rockford, IL.
Rockford Wind Ensemble’s first concert of their 10th anniversary season contains a colorful assortment of literature with an Illinois connection. The dynamic, vibrant sounds of this collection promise to captivate the attention of audience members of all ages. This exciting afternoon performance features Reagan of Illinois, written by nationally-acclaimed composer, Dr. David Holsinger, for the 100th anniversary of former President Ronald Reagan’s birth. Rockford Wind Ensemble is also proud to perform the world premiere of Scramble, composed by Eureka Illinois’ own Todd Stalter.
Tickets are $15.00 for adults ($12.00 in advance), $6.00 for seniors, $5.00 for students $30.00 for season tickets (4 concerts), and will be available at the door.
