I suppose you are right about the Festival prices Rachel, I should'nt have said overpriced I should have said they're too expensive for the entertainment that is provided. For a member of the younger crowd (I'm 22) the festivals around here seemed aimed at people with kids, or aimed at middle aged people (the bands at waterfront; Billy Idol, Ted Nugent, Cheap Trick, etc..). Which is perfectly fine, however I think Rockford desperately needs to offer something more for young adults.

The festivals in the surrounding area are most certainly not overpriced. The prices are comparable to rose of Summerfest and the surrounding areas. My concern is the possibility of persons driving after they have spent the afternoon drinking. I do think this is a great idea though. The more foot traffic downtown the better for the businesses.

I think this is a great thing! Rockford needs more festivals that can bring people together for things that interest them. I'm sure i'm not the only that feels the "festivals" Rockford currently holds annually are worn out and boring. Not too mention overpriced.
