UNDATED (WIFR) -- A new crime drama is coming to CBS and a Rockford native is a major force behind the project.

Keith High School Alum Shawn Ryan has taken his Rockford education to Hollywood to create and produce such shows as the Shield and Chicago Code.

Now Ryan has teamed up with criminal minds producer Simon Mirren for a new, yet un-named show. In it the main character is a genetic scientist who discovers a psychopath gene in himself that through he miracle of science can aid the FBI in tracking down violent criminals.

No word yet on when the show will hit the air.
