ROCKFORD -- There are more than 200 children's museums in the country. And today Forbes Magazine names Rockford's Discovery Center Museum as one of the best.
The Discovery Center was the only Illinois museum to make the list, as one of the top 12 Children's Museums in the country. One reason, its Rock River Discovery Park, which offers activities like its pumpkin catapult and dinosaur dig. The Discovery Center shares the spotlight with other children's museums in Boston, Denver, and Indianapolis.
