Rick's Picks on American Pickers

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A Rockford rocker gets some national exposure. Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen showed off his Rick's Pick's exhibit to the folks from the History Channel's TV show American Pickers.

The Rick Pick's exhibit has been on display at the Burpee Museum since last fall and Monday night the whole country was able to catch a glimpse of Rick Nielsen's elaborate Rock n' Roll display. On American Pickers the two hosts scour the nation looking for hidden gems, but you could tell the two were star struck by the Cheap Trick guitarist. Nielsen ended up selling t-shirts, autograph posters and albums and two traveling cases from the 1970's all for about $2,500. Nielsen also gave the hosts a guitar to put on display at their shop in Nashville. If you haven't seen the Rick's Pick display you better hurry because it closes at the Burpee next month.
