Rockford (WIFR) -- On the Waterfront is well underway, but today's wet weather threatened to cause problems to several scheduled events.
Umbrellas and ponchos were put to good use as many patrons still attended the event this afternoon despite the soggy conditions, as some just saw the rain as a minor worry. Waterfront volunteers were concerned the weather could be an issue for today, but tonight and tomorrow is another story.
"We're not worried at all. After 7 P.M. the temperature is going to come down to a wonderful 75-80 degrees, so we're really excited about the sun and the great temperature”, said Waterfront coordinator Kate Genoways.
All of today's cancelled events have been rescheduled for tomorrow and will coincide with Sunday's festivities.
