Kegel Harley-Davidson’s Centennial Celebration Country Throwdown Fired up by Kingsford

 The Country Throwdown Fired up by Kingsford, featuring headliner Gary Allen and recording artists Josh Thompson, Eric Paslay and Sunny Sweeney, is coming to Davis Park on June 23 starting at 4 p.m. to mark Kegel Harley-Davidson’s Centennial Celebration. The Rockford stop also includes special guest Rodney Atkins.


The celebration with Kegel will include a pre-concert party and other activities at the dealership to mark this special occasion. Starting at 10 a.m. on June 23, Kegel will host its centennial celebration that includes entertainment, live music, a bike show and food and beverage vendors. For motorcyclists, there will also be field events and a poker run. At 5:30 p.m., cyclists will all parade to Davis Park for the concert.


Kegel is a family-owned establishment and the oldest Harley-Davidson dealership in the world. During its history, the business has moved to various locations throughout Rockford. It is now located at 7125 Harrison Ave., where the dealership offers sales of new and used Harley-Davidson motorcycles, repairs, a retail store and a diner.


Tickets for Country Throwdown start at $30 and go on sale March 2, 2012 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available online at or at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office, 300 Elm St., Rockford.
