LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Katy Perry won video of the year at the MTV Video Music Awards, but it's Beyonce' who had the big news.
Beyonce' performed her new song, "Love On Top," and ended it by opening her jacket and rubbing her stomach. She and her husband, Jay-Z, are expecting their first child. Her publicist confirms the pregnancy.
Perry won video of the year for "Firework," as well as best collaboration with Kanye West for "E.T."
Lady Gaga opened the show dressed as a man for her alter ego, "Joe Calderone." She stayed in character the entire show, even pretending to go in for a kiss with Britney Spears while presenting her with the Vanguard Award. Spears joked, "I've done that before."
Other winners include the Foo Fighters, Nicki Minaj, Adele and Justin Bieber.
