ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A local landmark has made the list of top preservation success stories in the state.
Landmarks Illinois is recognizing the Coronado Theater. It's all part of the preservation group's 40th anniversary celebration.
Galena's main street also made the list. A spokesperson for Landmarks Illinois says the state has shown growth in the preservation movement since 1971 when the group was founded.
The Coronado was opened its doors in 1927.
