UNDATED (AP) -- Cheap Trick have a bad case of stage fright.
They have called off their show in Vancouver, British Columbia, September 1 because they're skittish about using a stage similar to the one that collapsed on them at the Ottawa Bluesfest on July 17.
The stage for the Vancouver show is provided by Mega-Stage by Berger, who also provided the one for Bluesfest. Cheap Trick say in a statement unless current investigations prove otherwise, they will not appear on a Berger stage "as a matter of principle."
Berger could not be reached for comment.
