ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- If you've ever had a hard time putting a child to bed, a two-dollar app might be a chance to actually buy some peace and quiet.
It’s called “White Noise Ambience” and its creator is Matthew Nifield, who is a tired father of newborn twins.
He created the app last week after weeks of tears and fussing at bedtime. With the app running, he shuts the door and crosses his fingers--often to great success. Doctors say babies actually fall asleep faster when it's not quiet. Some believe the monotonous sounds remind them of what they heard in the womb.
