NEW YORK (AP) -- Whoopi Goldberg says she could never get away with what Sally Field got bleeped for at the Emmys.
Goldberg shocked the heck out of the other women on "The View" by revealing she has a profanity clause in her contract. Some of her co-hosts said "what?" and looked surprised.
Goldberg says every broadcast job she takes now, whether on broadcast TV or radio, she has to sign a profanity clause. She doesn't understand why, saying she's "never, ever" sworn on regular TV or radio.
Goldberg says people must think she's "on the precipice" of saying bad words at all times.
