NEW YORK (AP) -- Oprah Winfrey tops Forbes' annual "Celebrity 100 Power List," which ranks the rich and famous based on earnings and buzz.
She's the top money-maker with an estimated income of 260 (m) million dollars over the past 12 months. Last year she placed third. She last topped the list in 2005.
A Forbes official says Winfrey "is making history every single year."
Golfer Tiger Woods ranks second, followed by Madonna in third. She was absent from the list last year. Forbes says her tour and adoption of a baby boy put her back in the spotlight. The Rolling Stones were fourth, followed in fifth place by Brad Pitt.
Last year's number one power player, Tom Cruise, slipped to eighth place.
New to the "Celebrity 100" list is George Clooney, the cast of A-B-C's "Grey's Anatomy," and Justin Timberlake.
Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears did not make the cut.
