Lindsay Lohan checks into rehab center after weekend car crash and DUI arrest

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Wild-child actress Lindsay Lohan (LOH'-un) is back in rehab.

It comes after a weekend during which she crashed her Mercedes, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and was photographed closed-eyed and slumped over in the passenger seat of a friend's car.

Lohan's publicist says the 20-year-old "admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility" yesterday. This is Lohan's second rehab stint this year.

Lohan was arrested Saturday morning after her car hopped a curb. Beverly Hills police say they found a substance tentatively identified as cocaine at the site.

Lawyer and family friend Michael Heller says, "The world has been very hard on her" and that there's an incredible amount of pressure on Lohan.
