The high-tech, state-of-the-art Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles opened for business Wednesday (10/17).
With a snip of a big pair of scissors on a big red ribbon, Los Angeles welcomed the opening of a big new development for downtown.
The 120-million dollar, Nokia Theatre - L.A. Live is the newest stage in southern California.
Thursday night the legendary "Eagles," along with "The Dixie Chicks," will open the theatre with a six-night engagement. The developer couldn't be more proud of the accomplishments made by the 5,000 plus people who built the venue.
The theatre will be part of what will become a 27-acre campus of sports, entertainment and living space, covering more than six downtown city blocks.
All of this development translates into jobs. And the councilwoman who represents this district is already seeing what that means.
