Residents in the Big Easy are getting ready for popcorn, movies and lots of fun.
Tonight (10/11) the 18th Annual New Orleans Film Festival kicks off at Canal Place.
Thousands are expected to pile into the Contemporary Arts Center and the Prytania Theatre to catch a glimpse of more than 120 films.
All of the movies, which include documentaries and animations, will be competing for top prize in five different categories.
Festival sponsors say they're expecting some big name actors to come to town for the event.
The New Orleans film festival runs through next Thursday.
