ROCKTON (WIFR) -- Hononegah has reinstituted the “Hononegah Recycles” program through the efforts of a recycling committee consisting of Science teachers Maggie Moore, Jeremiah Zachwieja, and Chris Haab along with Special Education teacher Ken Lewis.

The committee met with Principal Todd Hencsik and from that meeting containers have been placed throughout the district. Students are receiving education on the program and how it helps the environment. Recently, a group of students informed administration that they would like to form a club that involves environmental issues because they feel so strongly about recycling.

Congratulations to these four staff members and the students at Hononegah for reinstating the recycling program at the school and finding ways to better the environment.
