ROCKFORD (WIFR) –Rebecca Epperson, President and CEO of PR Etc., has been chosen to be the Chairperson of the 2013 Go Red for Women® luncheon in Rockford. Epperson will lead the charge in raising awareness and fighting heart disease in women. Heart disease is still the number one killer of women, taking the life of one in three women each year.
“As a woman, I know that we are better at taking care of everyone around us and keeping on top of our own health tends to fall to bottom of the list,” said Epperson. “It is important that we stand together to fight this disease – not only for ourselves, but for our mothers, sisters, daughters and aunts.”

Epperson is very active in the community serving on the boards of the OSF St. Anthony Foundation, Rockford Symphony Orchestra, Discovery Center Museum, The Literacy Council, Rockford YWCA and Athena PowerLink. She is chair of the United Way of Rock River Valley Women’s Leadership Council and the Vice Chair of the United Way of Rock River Valley’s campaign. She was named one of the 20 People You Should Know in 2011 and PR Etc. was named the Rockford Chamber’s Small Business of the Year in 2008.
