BELVIDERE (WIFR) — Meyer’s Tails Up Farm has welcomed Kendra Otto as their new Grooming Manager.

Kendra graduated from The Great Lakes Academy of Professional Pet Styling in 1997 and has had an impressive 15 year career in the grooming industry. She ranked in the top 10 in the country for four consecutive years as well as the #1 pet stylist in the state of Illinois. Among her many grooming awards, she has placed at every major grooming competition throughout the US and won multiple Best in Show/Best All Around Groomer awards.

Kendra enjoys styling rare breeds and was the first competitor to bring the Hungarian Pumi in the grooming contest ring. She specializes in working with fearful dogs on the grooming table and enjoys building their trust and seeing the transformation of their behavior. She is a certified grooming judge, pet stylist and the secretary and board member of Groom Team USA. Kendra has also been an expert commentator for both radio and TV. Kendra will manage all the groomers at Meyer’s Pet Care locations but will be based at Meyer’s Tails Up Farm in Belvidere.
