ILLINOIS (WIFR) -- Comfort Keepers of Northwest Illinois announces that owner Jim Wilson has accepted a position as board member for the Illinois Department of Public Health.

"I want to help the IDPH maintain professional standards in our industry while setting rules and regulations that will provide affordable home care," said Wilson.

The Illinois Department of Public Health board convenes quarterly to discuss current status and future needs of the healthcare industry. They also examine how existing rules and regulations apply and if any of them need to change or be amended.

Wilson has played an important role in implementing licensure status for in-home care organization in the past and has a passion fro the the home healthcare industry.
