ROCKFORD (WIFR) --About 33 million Americans are expected to drive at least 50 miles this Labor Day weekend and they'll be paying some hefty prices to fill up the gas tank.

According to GasBuddy.com, we are seeing some of the highest gas prices ever for this time of the year. The national average price is $3.80 a gallon. Here in the Stateline it's about $4.00 a gallon. Analysts blame the price hike on Hurricane Isaac forcing Gulf Coast refineries to shutdown.
