FREEPORT (WIFR) -- Freeport Home Medical Equipment (FHME) has added two professionals to their staff; Cherie Heck, CMF, BOC, Certified Mastectomy Fitter and Bobby Shallenberger.
Cherie Heck has worked in health care in Rockford for the past 20 years and for the last decade she has specialized in finding solutions for mastectomy patients. Licensed as a certified fitter, Heck also carries the credential of being certified by the Board of Orthotics, USA. This designation is recognized as a national standard of accreditation in the industry.
Heck's primary responsibilities are in the Mastectomy Boutique, a private area within the store that features forms, bras, swimwear, and other items for women who have experienced a mastectomy, lumpectomy, or reconstructive breast surgery. Call 815-297-0504 to make an appointment with Cherie.
Bobby Shallenberger, a native of Rockford, joined FHME in July as a Patient Care Coordinator. He will be working throughout the company’s service area in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin serving as a liaison between physicians and other health care providers. He will also provide patient education for durable medical equipment products including oxygen, CPAP and supplies.
