ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The Rockford region’s advertising community gathered Wednesday night, February 13, at NIU Rockford for a gallery celebration of the annual ADDY advertising awards competition held by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Northern Illinois.
GrahamSpencer won Best of Show for their Rick’s Picks advertising campaign done for the Burpee Museum of Natural History.
V2 Marketing Communications won the Best of Print as well as a Judge’s Choice award for the AES Presentation Package done for Applied Ecological Services. Rockford Health System took Best of Electronic for their “Redirect” television commercials.
Judge’s Choice Awards were also given to Rick Wells, Ltd. for their SwedishAmerican Physician Recruitment package, and to GrahamSpencer for the Rockford Visitor’s Guide produced for the Rockford Area Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
A 3-judge panel awarded 11 Gold ADDY awards, 11 Silver ADDYs, and 11 Bronze ADDYs from a selection of 43 entries. Gold ADDY winners from Rockford advance to the AAF District 6 competition to be judged against ADDY winners from other ad clubs in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. District Gold ADDY winners move on to the National ADDY competition this summer in Phoenix.
