Rockford Crime Stoppers 8/9

Today we need your help to solve a personal injury hit and run accident which took place in Machesney Park at the intersection of North 2nd Street and Harlem Road, on Sunday, July 3rd at approximately 1:50 AM.
The investigation by the Winnebago County Sheriffs police indicates a motorcycle operated by a male with a female passenger was north bound on North 2nd Street proceeding through the intersection, when without warning, a silver colored southbound vehicle began to turn left onto Harlem Road and struck the motorcycle, causing it to crash. The offending vehicle driver never stopped and fled the scene eastbound on Harlem Road. The cycle driver had minor injuries but the 21 year old passenger sustained severe injuries to her left leg. The offending vehicle is described as a Silver Ford Mustang or like sized vehicle, which may have front end damage with black paint on the damaged area. It was occupied by two persons.
