ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- It's a gut wrenching story pulling at the Stateline's heart strings. The newborn boy dubbed "Baby Noah" found dead at a Roscoe recycling center. Now Rockford CrimeStoppers is hoping someone will step up with information on the tragic case. Here's Rich Gambini.

On July 13th, Units from the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to the Total Waste Recycling company located in the 13,000 block of North Second Street in Roscoe, Illinois, reference a found body. The investigation indicates that workers at the plant were recycling garbage when they found the body of a full term, infant baby boy deceased on a conveyer belt. It appears as though the infant had been placed in the garbage, picked up by a garbage hauler, and brought to the recycle plant. Garbage brought to the plant is collected from a wide area including Poplar Grove, Illinois. The Winnebago County Coroner's Office has named the baby Noah. We want to encourage the person responsible with this tragic act, please come forward. We also want to let you know, if you have information about this person please call the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department at 319-6400.
