ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Normally we can only tell you about drugs found by police, but Wednesday night we showed you the stash found after an alleged robbery.
Drugs were actually left lying in the street. Here's how they got there. Rockford police say they were responding to an armed robbery at Kent Street and Rose Avenue. When they spotted a car that matched the suspect's description. When they tried to pull him over, the driver sped off and crashed into another car at Island and Clifton. The driver ran off and left his injured passenger behind. The passenger and the driver of the other car are expected to be alright. We're not exactly sure how drugs ended up in the street.
