Police in Rochelle and Sterling say they have connected an Ingleside man with the robbery of Johnson Tractor, 1030 S. 7th St., in Rochelle.

Police investigating the robbery discovered thousands of dollars in stolen lawn, garden and rental equipment reportedly taken from the Rochelle store and a rental store in Sterling. That home's resident, Edward J. Barnstable, 41, of Ingleside, is currently serving a four-year sentence for a carjacking in Monroe, Wis.

Police say they're referring Barnstable and their investigation to the Ogle County State's Attorney's Office.
