FBI Seeking "Blazing Bandit"
Investigators seeking person believed to have robbed three Rockford Banks since April 2009.
Federal investigators are looking for a person believed to have held up three Rockford-area banks at gunpoint since last April.
Dubbed "The Blazing Bandit," the suspect robs a bank, flees in a stolen vehicle and later burns the vehicle. The most recent robbery was at National City Bank, 6079 East Riverside on Dec. 14 of last year. He's also suspected of robbing Generations Generations Credit Union, 5618 Harrison Avenue, Rockford.
The “Blazing Bandit” is described as a black/male, 5’6” – 5’10” tall, 170-190 lbs., medium build. He has worn a black/navy blue hooded sweatshirt with hood up, black ski mask/navy blue bandana over face, black gloves and dark-colored sweatpants.
