United Way Issues Progress Report For "I Read" Program

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- About 250 people volunteer for the United Way's 'I Read' program and those men and women gathered to discuss the strengthens and challenges of the mentoring sessions.

Volunteers told success stories to the kids they read to on Wednesday's chat session. 'I Read' pairs Kindergarten students with volunteers who stay with that same child through third grade to improve the graduation rate.
