ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A Rockford man still awaiting trial for a 2010 murder will be spending nearly 60 years in prison on separate charges relating to his escape from police back in 2010.

When Rockford police pulled Jackson over in 2010, he drove away at around 80 mph before crashing into a tree on Winthrop Lane.

Tirinocorinthi Jackson was found guilty in December of several felonies including being an armed habitual criminal and aggravated fleeing. A judge sentenced Jackson to 58 years in prison.

Jackson still faces murder charges in the killing of Terrence Shumate in February 2010 and he's also accused of shooting up the East State Street Applebee's parking lot two months later.
