Man Arrested for Allegedly Punching Opponent in Basketball Game

LOVES PARK (WIFR) -- A 33-year-old Rockford man has been arrested on aggravated battery charges after an incident during a basketball game at the YMCA in Loves Park in early August.

33-year-old Remere Dubois was arrested for allegedly punching an opponent during a basketball game at the Loves Park YMCA on August 3rd. Police say the punch caused the other player to fall backwards to the floor hitting his head. The victim was then taken to the hospital for treatment.

Dubois was arrested on August 14 and charged with aggravated battery - public place and aggravated battery - great bodily harm.
