PRESS RELEASE: On 04/29/14 at approximately 930am Patrol Officers from the City of Beloit Police Department were sent to an address in the 700 block of Oak St. regarding a domestic disturbance.
The investigation resulted in a suspect being identified in the incident as Laquann Kendall, 20 years of age, of Beloit. Kendall had fled the residence prior to law enforcement arrival.
On 04/30/14 at approximately 530pm an officer from the City of Beloit Drug and Gang unit observed Kendall operating a motor vehicle in the area St. Lawrence and 8th St. Prior to a traffic stop being attempted, the motor vehicle pulled over in the area of Vine and Roosevelt. Two occupants fled from the vehicle on foot. Witnesses in the area indicated that both subjects had entered the same dwelling on Oak St. from the incident on 4/29/14.
The Beloit Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team the responded to assist.
Two subjects were taken into custody without incident and turned over to Detectives. The investigation is ongoing.

Ronald L Hicks M/B 28yrs of age
Domestic Reckless Endangering Safety Warrant thru Department of Correction
Both subjects will be transported to the Rock County Jail.
20 year old Laquann Kendell and 28 year old Ronald Hicks were arrested. The two men were taken into custody after police had been looking for Kendell who was involved in a previous domestic dispute at a home in the 700 block of Oak Street. Police spotted Kendell and Hicks in a car near the intersection of St. Lawrence and 8th Streets when officers attempted to pull them over. Kendell and Hick fled on foot from their vehicle.
Witnesses say they saw the two men enter the same home which Kendell had previously gotten into the dispute at. The two men were taken into custody without incident.
Kendell was arrested and charged with Domestic Reckless Endangering Safety, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of drugs, and on a warrant through the Department of Corrections. Hicks was also arrested on a warrant through the Department of Corrections.
BELOIT (WIFR) -- Police have arrested two men after a stand-off in Beloit.
This comes a day after officers were looking for a man involved in a domestic dispute at a house in the 700 block of Oak. Police say they were looking for one of the men all day.
When witnesses say they saw him run into his house earlier this evening. Another man was also in the house and both finally surrendered and were taken into custody.
No charges have been filed yet.
Initially, reports said shots were fired in the area, however officers say no shots have been fired.
Officers are urging people to stay in their homes or avoid the area.
