Football season may just be starting but many players have been watching their diets all summer long. That's because Boylan Varsity Assistant Coach Josh Fagan says he wants his athletes in shape.

Just like Coach Fagan tells his players to get balanced before a big tackle he also shows them how to balance their diets. He's posted a nutrition manual on Boylan's website, some top tips, eat breakfast, pack lunch, and definitely no cheese fries or soda pop.

But it's not all online, on the field he breaks down what they should be consuming post workout.

"You need lots of protein and simple carbohydrates, so an example would be a peanut butter and jelly sandwich." and teammates say the strategy is paying off.
