It happens to be national nursing home week. About 100 balloons were released at Alden Alma Nelson's Center in Rockford to celebrate.

Activities are scheduled all week long to spice up nursing home life.

Tomorrow will be a day at the spa, a lemonade social and bingo on Thursday and a barbecue on Friday.
