Even with the economy struggling, we still need to go out and have some fun. I'm going to show you a few ways to stretch your stimulus check while stimulating the economy.
First up, Coco Key Water Resort, where a family of four can play all day and spend the night and still have a few extra hundred dollars to spare.
"If anyone wants to come down and spend their stimulus check here. They're gonna make their kids very happy. They're gonna keep a whole bunch of people employed because we got more than 100 people operating this water park right here," says Arthur Cooper of Clock Tower Resort.
if you you want to make a little one's birthday extra special try a Coco Key birthday party. Not only do kids get free reign of the park, it's fun for the adults too.
Or if paradise sounds more relaxing without the kids, one stimulus check can get two round trip tickets out of RFD to St. Pete/Clearwater. There's also the option of flying a friend or relative in-town, so they could spend their money here.
Can't forget the moms. Dozens of Stateline spas are offing Mother's Day specials.
"It's 125-dollars and includes a 30 minute facial. We have manicure pedicure and we also have customary perfume you make yourself," says Brittany Foster of Weis Morris Salon and Spa.
Make a day out of learning. With a field trip to see Jane the Dinosaur at the Burpee Museum, followed by a cultural lesson at the Coronado Theater. Top it all off, with dinner at one of the many Stateline restaurants who rely on our business to stay afloat.
To get even more out of your stimulus check, invest in a college savings account. Lets say you have a newborn now, by the time they're 18, that 600 dollars would have grown to nearly three-thousand.
Of course there's many other things you can do with the money. Such as get work done in the house or send our kids to day camp. Some stores like Sears are offering discounts if you spend your whole check there.
