While some are visiting the stateline, others aren't going too far from home. Some local residents say they would rather stick around here this weekend rather than load up the car and the gas tank.

On the Waterfront continues today.The event will go on rain or shine. Hundreds attended last night's Billy Currington concert on the great lawn stage. Some say they wanted to stay closer to home to avoid the traffic and high gas prices.

"It is one of the best things that Rockford has to offer, I hope they continue this and that they come from all over," said stateline resident Theresa Knauf. "It's a great thing to experience."
