The annual celebration is also bringing in extra business for bars and restaurants inside the gates.
Businesses like the Kiwi Cafe and Bar stayed open today to meet increased demand from on the waterfront visitors. Although customers have to pay admittance to the festival to get in, some bar owners say the event has given them new exposure.
"We're very positive about it," said Ron Dierks, owner of Kiwi Cafe and Bar. "It's been a big boon to our business and we hope it continues for a long, long time to come."
