With more people traveling this weekend, Rock River Valley Blood Center employees say the organization is in desperate need of donations. They're asking anyone who can make time next week to stop by and donate.

The blood center is running low on all blood types. Currently, they only have 1.5 days worth of A positive and B negative, a 2 day supply of O positive and O negative, and a 2.5 day supply of B positive and A negative.

The Rock River Valley Blood Center located at 419 North Sixth Street in Rockford is open Monday through Thursday 6:30am to 6:00pm, Friday 6:30am-1:30pm, and Saturday 7:00am-11:00am.
