Parker Golf Coaches Earn Grants

JANESVILLE (WIFR) -- Parker High School boys’ and girls’ golf coaches have won a grant from the Wisconsin State Golf Association Boys’ golf coach John Zimmerman and girls’ golf coach Mary Ross wrote the grant application wrote the grant to support the Parker golf programs.

The two checks, delivered by Executive Director of the Wisconsin State Golf Association Rob Jansen totaled $2,800. According to their Web site, the Wisconsin State Golf Association Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the WSGA. Over the past two years, the Foundation has awarded over twenty-two thousand dollars to High School Golf Programs deemed ‘at risk.’”

The grant received at Parker High School will be used to reduce the personal cost incurred by student athletes to participate in golf which will hopefully help to grow/retain the school’s participation numbers for the golf teams
