RVC Holds Anti-Violence March

ROCKFORD (WIFR) – Today Rock Valley College took part in their fifth V-Day, a global movement to stop violence against women and girls.

A dozen or so students and administrators marched in downtown Rockford. It's part of “One Billion Rising”, a national effort to bring awareness the abuses suffered by women.

While most of the participants were women, they say it is just as important for men to stand up for women's rights.
