Send Production on Boeing 787 to Continue

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Here's some good news for the area's biggest aerospace manufacturers. Boeing says it will continue production of its 787 Dreamliner. That's in spite of the FAA’s decision to ground the plane because of safety concerns. Electrical problems have caused one of the Dreamliner’s batteries to catch fire. Woodward, UTC, and several other Rockford Area Companies produce quite a few parts for the model. It's unclear how they are affected by the FAA's inquiry. Boeing says it makes about 5 dreamliners each month.
