Send Roscoe Family's Wish Comes True

One Roscoe family's wish comes true this afternoon with a special surprise.

Make-A-Wish Illinois teamed up with Window World of Rockford to create a "safe room" for 5-year-old Livia Hubert.

The room is equipped with special therapy equipment used to treat Livia's rare disorder that affects cognitive function and coordination. With shatter proof windows and a dutch door, Jacob and Kelly Hubert feel that their daughter will be safe from harm in this new addition.

"Livia's condition is devastating because it is terminal and there's no cure," said Kelly Hubert. "And so usually when we have things go on with Livia, it's doctor's appointments, or an issue arising. And so this has really given our family something fun and exciting."

Many other local businesses and volunteers also helped make the Hubert family's wish come true.
