CHERRY VALLEY (WIFR) -- A local library prepares to open its newest chapter with a three thousand foot expansion.
The Cherry Valley Library on East State Street got a complete makeover in the last several months. The facility serves more than 16 thousand people. Library staff say before the expansion, residents didn’t have a lot of space to study and work and older books had to be given away to make room for new ones. The renovations include upgraded technology and a brand new meeting room.
“Our new addition was built with Wi-Fi tables so people can use their own laptops and look out over the woods and prairies and orchard," says Eve Kirk, the Cherry Valley Library Director.
