RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- Two men from Illinois are accused of trying to haul 62 pounds of marijuana through South Dakota in two pickup trucks.

The Rapid City Journal reported Wednesday that a Highway Patrol trooper with a drug-sniffing dog busted one of the men during a traffic stop on Interstate 90. A state Game, Fish and Parks officer arrested the other man at a New Underwood convenience store.

Forty-nine-year-old Marty Edwards of Dale, Ill., and 37-year-old Eric Edwards of Moline, Ill., each could face up to 50 years in prison if convicted. Telephone listings for the men could not immediately be found. The Journal says Marty Edwards told authorities that Eric Edwards is his nephew.
