ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The winter storm that the Rockford area has experienced has claimed three lives.
Two of the deaths were related to heart attacks involving snow throwers. The two men were 72 and 80 years old using their snow blowers when they suffered cardiac events. They were both transported by ambulance to area hospitals where they were pronounced dead.
The third person, an 89-year-old man was found dead lying in the snow after he got his vehicle stuck. The man apparently had tried to shovel the snow away from his vehicle when he suffered a cardiac event.
