CHERRY VALLEY (WIFR) -- It's probably too cold to let the kids play outside this weekend, but starting today, you can check out the newly remodeled play area at the CherryVale Mall. The custom play place was designed to represent some of the Rockford Park District's most popular attractions, like Magic Waters' Double Dare drop slide, and butterflies and flowers found at Nicholas Conservatory. The last play place was built in 2007, and park district leaders say it was looking a little worn. They tell us they're proud to offer an upgrade.
Kids 7 and under and under 42” tall are allowed to join the fun. The “Come Play With Us” play area is open during the mall's business hours and there is no charge for admission.
